The hidden dangers of convenience.
We have designed smartphones to give us more convenience and more time. Along the way, we somehow have become "prisoners of our own device".
The dark side of convenience has crippled us in many ways. They reduced our health. It strained our eyes. It gives headaches. It lowers our physical stamina.
Don't you think, it is time we break away from this mental prison?
But how do we free ourselves without losing the convenience we value so much?
There is only one solution to this crazy problem.
This idea is simple.
The idea is to build a mobile application that will alert you when you use more than your allotted screen time.
The app should be build using Xamarin so that one source code can generate both an iOS and an Android version.
The app will use the sensors available on the phone to track how much time you have been looking at your phone.
The app will allow you to track how much time your kids have been on his or her phone.
For cases such as this, you can set the app to notify you when their screen time exceeds a certain number of hours. This could be consecutive hours or cumulative hours.
You could also set snooze time and reminders to make sure you don't get carried away.
