Everyone knows the importance of taking medication on time as prescribed.
Most of us will forget from time to time. Even with an occasional skipped, this could jeopardize your health.
This problem is even worst for our grandparents, who are most likely in poorer health than we are. And it is quite obvious that they need to adhere more than us.
So how do we address this problem?
Here is an idea.

So how do we address this problem?
Here is an idea.
The idea is to build a web and a mobile application that will notify you when you miss your daily medication.
Sure, there are reminder apps that already exist. But this app tracks and check. And will only alert if you missed it. It does not disrupt your routine. It knows if you have or have not taken your meds.
To achieve this, you set up a camera pointing at the area where you take your meds. This could be a corner closet, a bathroom cabinet, or wherever you store your medications.
The video feed would stream to a local computer or a cloud server.
The software will then use computer vision to analyze the feed to recognize the user's action. You could use reinforcement learning to train the algorithm to improve its accuracy.
After a certain grace period, if the software has not detected the user's action it will send out a reminder.
The reminder will come at a specified interval until you completed the action or cancel it.
